More that 20 years ago I started my path of Yoga. It was not long after I began, when I injured my low back snowboarding and healed myself patiently with Yoga. This blessing in disguise has kept me on my mat ever since maintaining a healthy body, mind, and soulful existence. My most influential teachers have been Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois, Dr. Scott Blossom, MaryKay West and Greg Miner.
Philosophically, I call myself a Yoga Universalist. This means that any form or perspective of Yoga that awakens clarity, strengthens and heals the body, and energizes the spirit I support whole heartedly.
Personally, I connect most to Vinyasa Yoga, Ashtanga and Yin Yoga, and I am a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist. I also hold a Masterʼs degree in Counseling and use my mental and emotional health expertise in all of my work.
I realized early that my lifeʼs purpose is to teach, counsel, and assist others. My teaching style is often described as patient, kind, and inclusive with a sweet sense of humor.
When I’m not on my mat or teaching I try to practice the most important form of Yoga with my family as a wife and mother. I am also passionate about taking my “Yoga off the mat” by working for environmental and humanitarian causes. Finally, I hope to inspire positive transformations that lead to heightened inner wisdom for all of my students.
