The 2017 Southeast Yoga Conference will be held Friday, September 8th through Sunday, September 10th at the iconic Westin Peachtree Plaza in downtown Atlanta. Yoga Landing’s own Jessica Jollie will be leading two workshops alongside many other expert teachers and presenters. Please make plans to join us for this exciting weekend, which will be the 12th annual conference year!
- Sunday, September 10 @ 10-12pm // A Tribute to the First Lady of Yoga – Why Your Yoga Journey Matters // Inspiring History, Refinements in Alignment, and Breath Practices are the interwoven themes of this workshop in which we will honor the style of one of the most influential female teachers of our time, Indra Devi. This yogic icon largely pioneered the opportunity for women to practice Yoga today. With history interwoven, we will take a close look at our foundations in order to avoid common misalignments in our yoga practice. Experienced students will certainly refine their practices not only with historical and anatomical nuggets, but with rich Pranayama (breath) practices as well. Be a part of the continual evolution of Yoga in our time. “To understand the future, you must first know your past.” This workshop is recommended for yogis of all levels of practice experience.
- Sunday, September 10 @ 4-6pm // Welcome to the Mothership: Hips // Asymmetry in the body is absolutely normal, so why are we always trying to find balance? – Physical balance? Mental and emotional balance? Work-play balance? What are you aiming for when you are trying to balance? The hips are a great place to start on your journey– which is truly an individual one! This workshop is an all-levels (from beginners to senior teachers) vinyasa-based workshop focusing on understanding your hips. Steeped anatomical and energetic conversations will be held among the Pranayama (breath)-filled landscape that we will create! Bring an open heart for self-inquiry. Allow your yoga to help you land with greater personal insights. Take some souvenirs home for your practice, but more importantly for a more balanced life. This workshop is recommended for yogis of all levels of practice experience.
