Hi, I'm Jessica!
Over 30 years ago, my journey on this path began unfolding.
In the first years of my practice, I injured my back snowboarding. With patience, I discovered the therapeutic power of yoga when I healed my lumbar spine. This blessing in disguise has kept me on my mat ever since, helping me to maintain a healthy body, mind, and spiritual existence.
My most influential teachers who have inspired my life's work include Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Dr. Scott Blossom, Mary Kay West, and Greg Miner. Now as an E-RYT 500-hour Registered Yoga Alliance Teacher and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, with 5,000 hours of guiding classes, workshops, private therapy sessions, retreats, and teacher training, I am more passionate than ever to continue helping others.
Philosophically, I call myself a Yoga Universalist. This means that any form or perspective that awakens clarity, strengthens and heals the body, and energizes the spirit, I support wholeheartedly. Personally, I connect most with Vinyasa Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Hot Elemental, and Yin Yoga. I also am a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist and hold a Master's degree in Counseling. I use these tools, mental and emotional health expertise, in my teachings.
I am thankful to be a part of the Chattanooga yoga community, and I hope to inspire deep inner wisdom so that others may have positive transformations in their lives as well.
